Behind the scenes is founder, Dominic Masiello. As a landscape designer he is also owner of DP Environments, Inc. He is a graduate of the Cal Poly Pomona Landscape Architecture program and has had his landscape design and installation projects featured on HGTV shows like ‘Landscapers Challenge’ and ‘Get Out Way Out.’ DP Environments is also a preferred vendor for the city of Long Beach where Dominic is one of the instructors for their Lawn to Garden program. Dominic is an irrigation specialist and plant enthusiast – all of which combine to make Budget Plants a unique resource for homeowners.
Dominic is passionate about setting an example for creating environments which are self-sustainable and reduce the ecological footprint by using local natural materials, low water use drip systems, and native plant material. He believes he has been charged with creating environments that are conscious of our ecosystem. God has given this earth to us and we are to enjoy it abundantly as well as take care of it graciously.
